Mark Vickers replied to Patrick Mahoney's discussion I believe that the best way to support HHDL is to let him know that his efforts have been very fruitful :-)
"His Holiness is always such a wonderful inspiration to us all. Certainly whenever I have any challenges in my life I think of Him and all that He copes with, and the manner in which He faces the world, always with that reassuring smile and laugh.…"

Hey Mark!
Thanks for your message. It sounds pretty difficult, I sincerely hope there is a solution to the problems, it is such a beautiful country, so verdant and full of such creativity. I was there many times during the 90's as I was based in Dharamsala then and came up to Kathmandu to visit friends and for a change of pace, and more recently in 2007 for a pilgrimage and also into Tibet. I was astounded by the development, most obvious when at Swayambhu and Patan, but especially Bouddha. The congestion is at peak.
How long have you been there?
Yours in the Dharma

Dear Mark:

Beautiful photographs, I particularly like the ones of Nepal, the mountains, but also the Stupa at Boudha.

How is life in Nepal? The load sharing sounds very problematic at present?

Best wishes
Hilary
